If not outright obsessed, we are least heavily CAD-involved. So as I sat in a Boston café in November 2010 considering what to do a couple of weeks later when I would reach San Francisco, I wasn’t thinking about how to meet Steve Jobs.

The first dimension was a race to advance the capability of the software itself. The second was the race in compute power that took CAD from mainframe to laptop. The third was the competition to win customer business. Only those who could win consistently in all three dimensions survived.
